Dial-up
1. Open My Computer icon on the computer
desktop
2. Open Dial-up Networking
3. Double click to Make New Connection
4. Put the name ADANet and select a modem from the
list. (If you do not have a modem installed you will be asked to install one)
5. Press Next and put the Area code for Tirana 42 and the telephone Number which is 812( or
51820 if you are outside Tirana ) to access the ADANet
services; in the country select Albania
6. After this press finish
Normally that’s all to make a connection to ADANet.
After the above procedure you have to double click on the ADANet
icon and put the username ( the firs part of
the e-mail address ) and password that you
get from ADANet. Call 355
42 51633 for instructions for getting an account at ADANet.
Depending on the Windows95 (98) revision you may need to modify the dial-up connection
you created with the steps 1-6. Basically below is something you may need to modify:
- Right click
with your mouse on the ADANet icon, and select properties
- If you have problems with country codes or area codes (and you are located in Tirana) uncheck Use Area codes and dialing properties
- Go to server types and uncheck Log on to network
- Uncheck as well NetBEUI
and IPX/SPX
If you do not succeed in configuring the above ADANet
services please have a look at the items below:
- If you have a modem installed in your computer: Go My
computer on the desktop, control panel,
modems. See in the list if you have a modem
installed. If you do not have a modem in the list please check the modem documentation for
instructions on how to install your modem or ask the ADANet
technical staff to help you.
- If you have dial-up networking installed:
Go to My computer on your Computer Desktop
and see if you have the dial-up networking icon.
If you do not see it you have to install the
dial-up networking: Go My computer; control panel, Add/remove
programs, windows setup (on
the top), communications, details, check
dial-up networking (if it is unchecked), OK,
OK. If the computer does not find the setup
files needed you have to provide the windows 95 CDROM or the path where your windows95
setup files are located
- Make sure you have the dial-up adapter
installed: Go control panel, networking, and see if you have the dial-up
adapter installed. If not you have to add it: add,
adapter, choose
Microsoft, choose dial-up adapter
and then OK.
- Make sure you have TCP/IP installed: : Go control panel, networking,
and see if you have TCP/IP listed in the
list of your protocols. If not you have to add it: Add,
Protocol, Microsoft,
TCP/IP, OK.

to learn a time when technical staff will be available to help you. You can bring at our
offices as well computers (without monitor,
keyboard or mouse) and we will install all the necessary programs for accessing our
